Senior clients are getting more technologically savvy by the day. As a producer, this can make your life easier, whether it’s aiding enrollments or guiding clients to important data. Here are two online accounts that your internet-adept clients can sign up for that may help with questions you frequently address.

my Social Security Online Account

How many Social Security questions do you answer for clients? That number could decrease once you show them how to sign up for my Social Security. With a my Social Security online account, your clients will be able to:

  • Access payment history
  • Request a replacement card
  • Retrieve their (new) Medicare Beneficiary Identifier

  • View preventive services and review their medical history
  • Sign up to receive Medicare Summary Notices electronically
  • Create and maintain a list of favorite healthcare providers

Help Yourself by Helping Your Clients

There will always be questions with which your clients will need help. But if you can spend 15 minutes at the end of an appointment introducing them to these online tools, how much time might it save you from answering additional basic questions in the future? If nothing else, you’ve given your clients additional tools and shown yourself to be a helpful advocate to them.
